Phil Boistard

Phil was born and grew up on Long Island NY in the 60's. As a kid he loved animals and wanted to be a veterinarian. At the age of 17 he got a job as a veterinarian technician to follow his dream. He soon learned how many years of schooling were required to accomplish his dream and looked for alternatives. The animal hospital he worked for was associated with a kennel that did training. He spent considerable time at the kennel doing any job he was asked to perform. He learned a lot about animal behavior and training technics but didn't believe he could make a living in the field. Phil worked for years as a manufacturing mechanic while continuing his love of dog training by joining K9 clubs. Phil moved his family to North Carolina in in 2001 looking for a brighter future but in 2008 found himself unemployed. A trainer and friend suggested training dogs for Bed Bug detection. Phil apprenticed in a field he loved for so long and started "Phil's K9 Training". He is now the owner, operator and trainer at "Phil's K9 Training"...
